Raymond G. Davis age 80 of Bannister, Michigan died Sunday, October 29, 2006 at his home.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Pastor Charles Seeley of Amazing Grace Church in Wheeler, Michigan will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan.
Raymond was born in Flint, Michigan on March 16, 1926 the son of Ira Guy & Eugenia May (Wright) Davis. He graduated from Kingston High School with the class of 1942. On August 27, 1950 he married Shirley Ann Friday in Kingston, Michigan and he resided most of his life in Kingston Michigan moving to Bannister in 1967. Raymond farmed most of his life and had retired from Midland Ross & Maurell Products both of Owosso, Michigan. He attended Amazing Grace Church in Wheeler, Michigan and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Kingston, Michigan. He enjoyed golfing & playing basketball.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Ann Davis of Bannister, MI, 1 daughter Debra & Larry Severance of Owosso, MI, 3 sons; Thomas Davis of Bannister, MI, Kenneth & Aprile Davis of Owosso, MI, Michael Davis of Bannister, MI, 6 granddaughters, Robin & Keith Stewart of Williamston, MI, Lori & Shawn Dean of Owosso, MI, Ann Severance of Chicago, IL, Shannon Severance of Owosso, MI, Patricia & Eric Halvorson of Maryland, Nicole Davis of Owosso, MI, 3 grandson; Thomas Davis of Wyandotte, MI, Robert Davis of Cass City, MI, Zachary Davis of Owosso, MI, 8 great grandchildren, Thomas, Bethany, Austin, Aaron, Hannah, Victoria, Joseph, and Katerina, brother Robert & Shirley Davis of Laingsburg, MI, and brother-in-law Basil Vincent of Florida. He was predeceased by his parents, 1 grandson Thomas, and 2 sisters Charlotte Vincent and Doris Kitts.
Memorials may be made to the Amazing Grace Church, Wheeler, Michigan. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
