Raymond Fairchild

Raymond M. Fairchild age 95 of Owosso, Michigan died Wednesday February 27, 2008 at Durand Senior Care & Rehab Center.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Chaplain Beverly Adcock will officiate with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 29, 2008, 4 to 8 p.m.

Raymond was born in Saginaw, Michigan on July 20, 1912 the son of Gilbert J. and Josie Fairchild. He resided most of his life in Owosso and attended Saginaw Schools. Raymond married Eleanor McCall in 1932 in Angola, IN. She passed away June 1, 1981. Raymond retired in 1975 from Baker Perkins in Saginaw after 33 years of service where he worked as a welder. Raymond was talented in carpentry. He could build anything. He loved his grandchildren very much. He was patient, caring and helpful.

He is survived by 2 sons; Glen R. & Betty Fairchild of Owosso, MI, Ross J. & Joan Fairchild of Bridgeport, MI, daughter Donna Brittain of Durand, MI, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, wife, granddaughter Lynn, sister and brother.

Memorials may be made to Charity of Donor's Choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, Michigan.
