Raymond Allen Post, age 77, of St. Louis, MI died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at First St. Louis First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Terri Bentley will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Raymond was born in St. Louis, Michigan on May 3, 1933, the son of Lester Daniel and Ruth (Allen) Post. Ray graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1951. He married Cora Jane Lewis on August 28, 1954 in Eureka, MI. Ray was a lifelong resident of St. Louis, and retired from Dow Chemical in 1985. He was a member of the Alma Elks #1400, CSA, and the St. Louis Historical Society. He was the current owner of the Alma 300 Bowl. Ray enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and spending time with all of his family at their cottage in Houghton Lake. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, St. Louis, MI.

He is survived by his wife Cora Post of St. Louis, MI, 4 sons; Kenneth R. Post of St. Louis, MI, David Leon Post of St. Louis, MI, Paul D. and Sue Post of St. Louis, MI, Alan R. and Mandi Post of St. Louis, MI, 6 grandchildren; Katie, Stacey, Scott, Aaron, Cody, and Skyler, and 2 great grandchildren; Connor and Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers Robert and William Post.
