Reba Rummell

Reba "Peg" Lou Rummell, age 84, of Ovid, MI passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 unexpectedly, at her home, with all of her children present.

A Memorial Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 2-6 P.M. at Owosso Tractor Parts, 6990 West M-21, Owosso, MI 48867. There will be a short service at 2:00 P.M., but you are welcome to come at any time.

Reba was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on October 17, 1930, the daughter of Willard and Florence (Knapp) Ackels. She graduated from Ovid High School in 1948. Reba married Richard Rummell on March 31, 1951 in Ovid, MI. Richard and Reba owned and operated a Dairy Farm on Rummell's Hill, until 1990. Reba worked for Rossman Communications in Lansing until 2002. She loved sewing, MSU sports and spending time with her family. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ovid.

She is survived by her husband Dick Rummell of Ovid, MI, 4 children; Peggy Corp of Owosso, MI, Cathy Lennon of Owosso, MI, Mike and Mary Rummell of Owosso, MI, Luann and Randy Corner of Newport, NC, 7 grandchildren; Jenny, Jerry and Heather, Tim, Jamie, Shelbie, Lindsey and Matt, Amanda and Randy, 10 great grandchildren; Brittany, Dylan, Abbie, Kaitlyn, Audra, Taiylor, Torri, Timmy, Carter, Mayson. She is also survived by her sister in law Connie Ackels, 2 nieces; Roxanne and Bob Baumgras, and Melanie and Jim Lyons. She is preceded in death by her brothers; Dail and Wayne, sister Ardis (Bug), granddaughter Casie Rummell, 2 sons in law; Steve Corp and Jim Lennon.
