Rebecca Sue Collie, age 58, of Ithaca, MI passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 at Rosewood Adult Foster Care, Ithaca, Michigan with her mother and sister by her side.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Ithaca, MI on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 2:00 P.M.
Rebecca was born in Owosso, Michigan on October 3, 1955, the daughter of Corban Ray Collie and Betty F. (Bennett) Rich. She graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1973.
Rebecca loved painting, writing poems, playing the drums, listening to music, gardening, going for hikes and her cats. She loved to spend time with her family and attending her nieces and nephews sport & music activities. She was a barber most of her life and was a massage therapist. Rebecca was a devout Christian and enjoyed hearing stories of angels.
She is survived by her mother Betty Rich of Alma, MI, sister Helen and Terry Hayes of Ithaca, MI, brother David Collie of Swartz Creek, MI, step-mother Rita Collie of Swartz Creek, MI, step-sister Deserie Fendt and Jeff Anderson of Flint, MI, nieces & nephews; Conrad and Sherry Hayes of Ithaca, MI, and their children, Savana & Aubriel; Ryan and Suzi Hayes of Berrien Springs, MI, and their children, Carter, Christiana, Cadance; Shannon and Bill Brown of St. Louis, MI, and their children, Laurel, Michael, Izabelle Hrabal, Olivia Brown; Christina Collie of Detroit, MI and David Collie of Denver, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her father Corban Ray Collie.
