Regina Stefanek age 67 of Bannister, Michigan died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church Bannister, MI on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2006 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Rosary will be prayed on Friday, December 8, 2006 at 8:00 P.M.

Regina was born in Brigus, Newfoundland Canada on January 17, 1939 the daughter of William and Janet Wilcox Fowler. She resided most of her life in Bannister, Michigan since 1966. Regina married John Frank Stefanek on September 3, 1960 in Canada. John died on August 21, 1985. Regina was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to craft shows, gardening, cooking & baking, dancing, and playing cards. She was an avid reader. Regina was a member of St. Cyril Catholic Church, Bannister, MI and of the Altar Society.

She is survived by 3 daughters; Janet Stefanek of Bannister, MI, Rosemary Stefanek of Gastonia, N.C., Jennifer & Francisco Raspaldo of Green Bay, WI, 1 son John Stefanek of Bannister, MI, mother Janet Fowler of Brigus Newfoundland, Canada, brothers; Jim & Daphne Fowler of St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, Eric Fowler of St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, Robert & Shirley Fowler of Brigus, Newfoundland, Canada, Kevin & Janet Fowler of East Lansing, MI, brother-in-law Art Fritz of Ardrie, Alberta Canada, and many nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her father, husband, 2 daughters; Joanne & Anne, 1 son James A., & 2 sisters Angela Fritz, & Vera Pynn.

Memorials may be made to Elsie Public Library or St. Cyril Catholic Church. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
