Rena Teegardin age 79 of Ithaca, Michigan entered her eternal home Wednesday, February 8, 2006 with her children at her side.
Born Rena Oster Snook on January 1, 1927 to Ralph and Rena ( Oster ) Snook. She grew up in St. Louis and later moved to Ithaca. She was a graduate of St. Louis High School. Rena married Orlin Teegardin and they enjoyed 47 years together before his passing 1998.
Rena always believed, if you wanted something you had to work for it, and she always did. She worked at the shoe factory and Redmana�(TM)s in Ithaca. She cleaned houses after Redmana�(TM)s closed, later retiring from Dial-a-Ride.
Rena and O.T. loved traveling and camping. Along with their family they enjoyed boating and skiing in the summer, and snowmobiling in the winter. Renaa�(TM)s passion was roller-skating.
She loved and raised three children who survive her; Linda Crumbaugh, Charlie & Marlene Teegardin, Diane & Terry Merchant, daughter-in-law Joell (Teegardin) Eyer, 1 sister Margaret Sterling. Her special joys were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Helen Fonie Snook, brother Russell Snook, twin sister Dorita Hall, son-in-law Donald Crumbaugh, granddaughter Peggy Rae Crumbaugh, and step-son Gary Teegardin.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, February 10, 2006 at 4:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel. Rev. David McBride will officiate. There will be no Visitation. Memorials may be made to the Gratiot County Commission on Aging.
