Rev. Paul Davis

Rev. Paul Michael Davis age 55 of St. Louis, MI, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Midland, Midland, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 1:00 P.M., with Superintendent Thomas Doherty and Rev. Mark Bullock officiating.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI, and on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 10:00 A.M until the time of the service at the church.

Paul was born in Lakeview, MI on May 22, 1963 the son Oliver and Nina (Moss) Davis.  Paul married Cheryl Jewell on August 16, 1986 in Grand Rapids, MI.  He earned a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Seminary.  Paul served as a minister at Muskegon First Free Methodist, Charlotte Free Methodist Church and South Evart Community Free Methodist Church.  He loved history, especially the Civil War time period.  Paul loved the bible and being a minister.  He really enjoyed helping with Youth Programs and enjoyed helping with the Middle School and High School Bands.

He is survived by his wife Rev. Cheryl Davis of St. Louis, MI; daughter Joanna Davis of Big Rapids, MI; son Michael and Rebecka Davis of Lansing, MI; son Stephen Davis of St. Louis, MI; grandson Oliver Davis of Lansing, MI; sister Ann and John Shaver of Indianapolis, IN; brother James and Diane Davis of Orlando, FL; brother John and Leslie Davis of Fort Wayne, IN; sister Joy and Cecil Martin of Columbus, IN; father-in-law Richard Jewell of Coldwater, MI; sister-in-law Deborah Spires of Hudsonville, MI; sister-in-law Rita and Bruce Knoll of South Haven, MS; and brother-in-law Dean and Nicole Jewell of Monroe, MI.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jan Schroeder and mother-in-law Gloria Jewell.
