Rex Daniel Martin

      Rex Daniel Martin, age 65, of Owosso, MI, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso surrounded by his family.
     A cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
     Rex was born in St. Johns, Michigan on July 2, 1959, the son of Sharon Marie (Carroll) Taylor. On August 11, 2012, Rex married Kimberly Rae Bonyman in Elsie, MI.
      Rex was a devoted father and friend to anyone that needed him. He spent several years coaching youth baseball and most of those players would still stop by to hang out with him through all those years. He also loved wrenching on anything that moved so if he wasn't at work or in his Lazy Boy he was sure to be in the garage tinkering on something to make it run and watch the kids fly through the yard. A passion he carried on to his grandchildren, making sure they both had go-karts and quads. He enjoyed his golf cart trips around town and visiting friends with Kimberly.
     He loved to go fishing and take long canoe trips with friends and family and always had a warm bonfire or cozy porch to relax around. He even married his wife, Kimmie, in a canoe and they enjoyed many wonderful years making those trips and enjoying the company of great friends on the weekends. He will be truly missed by many.
     He is survived by his wife Kimberly, mother Sharon Taylor, daughter Chassidy (Mark Crumbaugh) Martin, son Jeremy (Samantha) Martin, granddaughter Natalie Martin, and grandson Blaze Crumbaugh. He was preceded in death by his step-father Robert Taylor, his grandson Talan Jones, and two brothers: Eric Martin and Daniel Martin.
