Richard Biddinger

Richard David "Stub" Biddinger age 88 of Ithaca, MI, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Liz Long officiating.  Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M at the funeral home.

Richard was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on July 16, 1928, the son of Oliver George and Julia (Davis) Biddinger.  Richard married Faye Fellows on March 3, 1999 in Clearwater, FL and resided most of his life in Ithaca.

Richard worked at WalMart in Alma and Mt. Pleasant and was a Farmer.  He enjoyed driving horses and going to horse pulls; he also raised cattle.  Richard will be remembered for his kind and outgoing nature.  He had many hobbies and accomplishments in his lifetime which included; being an active leader in the Circle E 4-H Club, the Ashley-Ithaca Livestock Club, and a proud member of the Gratiot County Sheriff Posse for many years.  He was a member of Lafayette Presbyterian Church, Ithaca, MI.

He is survived by his wife Faye Biddinger of Ithaca, MI, sons; Bruce and Vicki Biddinger of Traverse City, MI, and Brian and Terie Biddinger of Blanchard, MI, step-daughter Jan and Jason Ricker of Marquette, MI, 8 grandchildren; Heath and Carrie Miller, Jannea and Keith Miller, Corey and Martina Biddinger, Nikolas Biddinger, Trenten and Tracie Biddinger, Joseph Biddinger, Christopher Ricker and Reece Ricker, and 8 great-grandchildren.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Iola Marie Biddinger on January 2, 1997, daughter Brenda Miller, and 2 sisters; Donna Maye Biddinger and Bernice Munson.
