Richard Lowell Hudson, Jr.

     Richard Lowell Hudson, Jr., age 75, of Eagle, MI, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024.

     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.

     Richard was born in Alma, MI on December 26, 1948, the son of Richard Lowell and Erma Irene (Ingersoll) Hudson.  He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

     Richard retired from General Motors.  He loved spending time with his grand-dog, Lucy. Richard was an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan Football.  He had attended many Tigers games and went to Spring Training in Florida.  Traveling was one of his favorite things, visiting many places.  Spending time with his family was the very most important to him.  

     He is survived by his daughter Dawn Hudson; 4 sisters: Linda and Gary Wertzbar, Cecelia Savadge, Carol Rippie, Gwen and Bryan Hill; brother J.L. and Kat Hudson.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his wives:  Phyllis Hudson and Elizabeth Hudson also his sister Ellen Burke.
