Richard John "Rich" Kunkel Jr., age 46, of St. Louis, MI, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma, MI

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 1:00 P.M.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M until the time of service at the funeral home.

Richard was born in Alma, MI on February 1, 1975, the son of Richard John and Mary Ann (Kremsreiter) Kunkel Sr.  Rich was an avid sports fan. He was a diehard MSU and Atlanta Braves fanatic! He loved collecting sports cards. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He lived in the St. Louis area all of his life.

Rich is survived by his father Richard John Kunkel Sr. of St. Louis, sister Tammy (William) Kinder of St. Louis, brother Adam (Jessica) Kunkel of St. Louis, sister Valorie Cancino of St. Louis; nieces and nephews: Laura (Paul) Tedhams, Ben (Lacey) Kinder, Kathy Kinder, Courtney (Ryan) Miller, Brittany Koehler, Kyle Koehler, Erin Kunkel, Jinxx Moonstar, Brayden Kunkel, Adrianna Cancino Kunkel, Mariah Cancino Kunkel, Tonya Kunkel, Annabelle Kunkel, and Michael Kunkel; great nieces and nephews: Alayna, Alex, Oliver, Luke, Sebastian, and Konner; grandmother Mildred Kremsreiter and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Rich was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann White, infant brother Robert Kunkel, grandpa Alex Kremsreiter, and grandparents Melvin and Lily Kunkel.
