Richard Micka

Richard Alan Micka, age 45, of Bannister, MI died Tuesday, March 31st, at his home due to an accident.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Saturday, April 4th at 11:00 A.M. , Mr. Thomas Bradley will officiate, burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday 6-8 p.m.and Friday 2-8 pm with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel.

Richard was born in Carson City, Michigan on August 2, 1963, the son of Raymond J. Micka and Barbara A. (Skaryd) Galehouse . On June 24, 1988 he married Christine Roy in St. Johns, Michigan. He had resided all of his life in the Elsie & Bannister area and worked for Craftmade (Woodards) of Owosso. Rich loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed sports. He especially enjoyed being with his children an had formerly co-owned and operated Bulls Eye Archery, of Elsie.

Rich is survived by his wife Christine Micka of Bannister, MI; 2 daughters Bobbi Micka & Ryan LePard of Bannister, MI. Brittany Micka of Bannister, MI; mother Barbara Galehouse and Norm Martin of Ovid, MI; father Raymond and Barbara Micka of Ypsilanti, MI; sister Laura Micka of Elsie, MI. mother in law, Janice Roy of Ovid, MI. He also is survived by sisters & brothers in laws and many nieces & nephews.

He was predeceased by 1 brother, John, nephew, Jacob, and his grandparents, father in law, Norman Roy.
