Richard Gale "Dick" Miller, age 69, of Elsie, Michigan died Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Sparrow Hospital Lansing, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel, Elsie, MI on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Dick was born in Owosso, Michigan on January 5, 1943, the son of Alfred James and Wilma (Bashore) Miller. He graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1961. Dick resided most of his life in Elsie, Michigan and on July 14, 1979 he married Barbara Easlick in Ovid, Michigan. Dick served his country in the US Air Force. He had worked for Abrams Photography as a photographer; he then worked for Schiffer Aerial Spraying as a mechanic retiring in 2006. He and Barb enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and their dog, Abby. Dick enjoyed having coffee every morning at the coffee shop and visiting with his many friends.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Miller of Elsie, Michigan, 2 sisters; Barbara Sue Miller of Elsie, Michigan, Judy Miller of St. Johns, Michigan, 3 brothers; James Miller of Missoula, Montana, Charles Miller of Hamilton, Montana, Mark and Becky Miller of Elsie, Michigan, father in law Max Easlick of Elsie, Michigan, sister in law Joyce and Jack Wassa of Beulah, Michigan, brother in law Richard and Raelene Easlick of Elsie, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and niece Trudy Kaufman-Rogers.
