Richard Guy Peck age 83 of Weatherford, Texas formerly of Owosso, Michigan, died December 26, 2007 at Weatherford Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Monday, December 31, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Tom Pace will officiate with burial at Maple River Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Richard was born in Gratton, Virginia on October 8, 1924 the son of Guy Sylvester & Helen Grey (Bourne) Peck. He moved from Virginia in 1954 and lived in Corunna & Owosso area. He has lived in Texas for the past 5 years. Richard married Oma she died in 1981. He was a journeyman painter for Chevrolet Motors in Flint for 34 years retiring in 1988. He had also work at Meijers Inc. part time for 4 years. Richard served his country in WWII in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Member of VFW Post #9455 Owosso.
Survivors include his 3 daughters: Opal & John Cornwell of Tazewell, Virginia, Donna & Leo Peltier of Weatherford, Texas, Vickie & Randy Klaus of Midlothian, Texas, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 1 sister: Kathleen Brubeck of Liberty, Missouri, 1 brother: Henry Peck of Richmond, Missouri, and former wife: Abbie Box of Owosso, Michigan. He is predeceased by his parents, and first wife Oma.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donora�(TM)s choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, Michigan.
