Richard James Pratt

     Richard James Pratt, age 86, of St. Louis, MI, formerly of Anaheim, CA, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

     At Richard's request, a cremation has taken place and there will be no services.

     Richard was born in Elm Hall, Michigan on July 24, 1937, the son of Donald and Irene Pratt. He graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1955.  On January 26, 1957, Richard married Norma Janet Lott at the First Presbyterian Church in Alma. They have been blessed with nearly sixty-seven years of marriage.

     Richard was a salesman and worked for Ralph's Paint in Garden Grove, CA, and Al's Paint in Norwalk, CA for many years. In retirement, he worked as a door greeter at Wal-Mart in Westminster, CA and Alma Paint in Alma, MI.

     Richard was a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed watching all the different sports and rooting for the Michigan teams. He spent his summers playing golf and winters bowling.

     He is survived by his wife Norma, son Richard (Teresa) Pratt of Houghton Lake, MI; 2 granddaughters: Alison (Ryan) Corkill, and Amy Pratt; great-grandson Jackson Wesley Corkill, sister-in-law Mable Pratt, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 brothers: Leroy, Robert, and Lawrence "Joe" Pratt.
