Richard Rahn

Richard Julius Rahn, age 68, of St. Louis, MI, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 10, 2021 at his son's place.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, with Pastor Bryon Fling officiating.  Burial will take place at Jasper Township Cemetery near his son James.  Visitation will be held 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the funeral home.

Richard was born in Saginaw, Michigan on June 5, 1953, the son of Julius Albert Edgar Rahn, Jr. and Hilda Minnie (Koeppen) Rahn.  He graduated from Breckenridge High School with the class of 1972.  On February 10, 1973, Richard married Phyllis Ann Gyurnek in St. Louis, MI. They recently celebrated 48 years of marriage.

Richard enjoyed gardening, cutting wood.  He liked to go to the casino. He was an animal lover. Most importantly, Richard was a family man and loved to spend time with his kids, especially driving around the countryside.

Richard is survived by his wife Phyllis, son Richard Michael Rahn of St. Louis, MI; daughter Pamela Joann Rahn of St. Louis, MI; sister Edna Becker, and a few nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son James Walter Rahn, and 2 brothers: Ernest Rahn, and Fredrick Rahn.
