Richard L. "Dick" Robbins, age 74, of Elsie, MI died Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the VA Medical Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Johns Chapel St. Johns, MI on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Rick Shaull officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery Lansing, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Richard was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 2, 1937, the son of Charles and Naomi (Moore) Robbins. He served his country in the US Navy. Dick formerly worked for Saylor-Beall Manufacturing and General Motors. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, golfing and fishing. His family was very important to him.

He is survived by his mother Naomi Robbins of Houghton Lake Heights, MI, son Richard and Jan Robbins of Mason, MI, son Kirk and Debbie Robbins of Aurora, CO, daughter Dawn Harr of St. Johns, MI, son Gaylord and Michelle Robbins of St. Johns, MI, son Patrick Robbins of St. Johns, MI, daughter Heather and Larry Dallas of Westmoreland, TN, son DJ and Alicia Robbins of Elsie, MI, 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sister Kay and Bob Leathers of Harrison, MI, 2 brothers; Charlie and Shawn Robbins of Houghton Lake, MI, Rex and Lynn Robbins of Houghton Lake, MI, and brother-in-law Dick Powell of Houghton Lake, MI. Dick was preceded in death by his father, sister Joann Powell and brother Bob Robbins.
