Richard "Harry" Steffenhagen age 91, of Coleman, formerly of St. Louis, MI passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Harry was born in Caro, MI on May 5, 1925, the son of Friedrich and Emily (Reichel) Steffenhagen. He graduated from Morrice High School.

Harry had many jobs throughout his life including; cabinet making, draftsman, and a process engineer for LAMB.  His job as a process engineer took him many places around the world including; Mexico, Germany, North Carolina, and Indiana. Harry enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children; Dan and Julie Steffenhagen, Dana Skeen, Lori and Jerry Chvojka, Cindy and Kenneth Dennison, Durk and Debra Martin, Cheri Jo Martin, grandchildren; Elizabeth Young, Victoria and Chris Seidel, Catharyne and Bob Jacobs, Genevieve and Jim Garchow, Rebecca and Jamie Wiklandski, Jodi and Chris Thum, Mike and Bobbi Roszak, Melynda Kensinger, Rick Kensinger, Scott and Paula Dennison, Heather and Bruce Hunt, Becca Dennison, Sarah and Alex Mowrer, and Evan Martin. He is also survived by 31 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and 21 nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.
