Ricky Mercer

Ricky Leroy Mercer, age 56, of Elsie, Michigan died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Ricky was born in Lansing, Michigan on March 31, 1955, the son of Howard L. and Irene B. (Fountain) Mercer and resided most of his life in the St. Johns and Elsie area. He retired from General Motors in Lansing, in 2005 after 30 years of service. Ricky enjoyed animals, cars and motorcycles.

He is survived by his parents Howard and Irene Mercer of Elsie, MI, son Ricky Lee Mercer Jr. of Evart, MI, brother Mark and Mary Mercer of St. Johns, MI, 2 nieces; Amy Mercer & April and Sean Nobach and nephew Marc Mercer.
