Rita Skriba

Rita Mary Skriba age 65 of Ashley, Michigan, died Saturday, August 13, 2005, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan. Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, Michigan, Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate and visitation will be Monday 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. There will be a prayer service on Monday evening at 6:00 P. M. at the funeral home.
Rita was born May 14, 1940 in Westphalia, Michigan, the daughter of Albert & Irene ( Thelen ) Schueller, she graduated from Fowler High School with the class of 1959. On September 9, 1961 she married William E. Skriba at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan. She resided most of her life in Ashley and was a homemaker who loved to work in her flower garden. Rita was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan.
Survivors include her husband, William E. Skriba of Ashley, Michigan, 1 daughter, Cindy Custer & Steve Stauffer of Alma, Michigan, 1 son William J. Skriba of Ithaca, Michigan, 7 grandchildren, 3 sisters Theresa & Clare Fox of Ionia, Michigan, Geraldine Geller of St. Johns, Michigan, Marietta VanEtten of St. Johns, Michigan, 4 brothers, Richard & Kathy Schueller of Fowler, Michigan, Gary & Rosie Schueller of Fowler, Michigan, Ambrose & Lorraine Schueller of Ashley, Michigan, Jerome Schueller of St. Johns, Michigan, sister-in-law, Julia Schueller of Fowler, Michigan, and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, 1 sister & 3 brothers.
Memorial may be made to St. Cyrila�(TM)s Catholic Church Altar Society.
