Robert Albrecht

Robert Dean “RD” Albrecht, age 93, of Alma, MI, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018, at his home.

Cremation has taken place and the family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date.

Robert was born in Coopersville, MI on June 8, 1925, the son of Clifford and Wilma (Cady) Albrecht. He graduated from Coopersville High School with the class of 1942. On August 9, 1952 he married Genevieve Beaudoin in Alpena, Michigan.

Robert retired from American Oil Company after 37 years of service. After retirement Robert and Genevieve wintered in Arizona. He enjoyed country western music, square dancing and singing. His favorite flower was the Hibiscus. He liked doing home improvement projects. Robert was a family man and the time spent with them was very dear to him. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp where he was a pilot on a B-24.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Genevieve Albrecht, 3 sons: Rick and Wendy Albrecht, Robin and Lynn Albrecht, Robert and Larriann Albrecht, 4 grandsons: Tyler, Curtis, Brandon, Scott and great-grandsons Ethan and Noah.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Virginia, Vivian and one brother Kenneth.
