Robert Michael Dobski Jr. age 51 of Ovid, MI, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Ovid, MI, on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Robert was born in Pontiac, MI on September 11, 1965 the son of Robert Michael and Barbara Louise (Basso) Dobski.  Bob married Marla Mills on October 15, 1988 in New Haven, IN and resided all of his married life in Mio and Ovid.

Bob enjoyed spending time up north fishing and kayaking down the Au Sable River.  He loved watching his children play sports and was an avid Michigan State athletic fan. Bob earned his Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University and worked for the State of Michigan as a Communications Advisor.  Bob was a collector of many things.  He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Marla Dobski of Ovid, MI, daughter Jeanise and Will Lawler of Bloomfield Hills, MI, son Robby Dobski of Ovid, MI, daughter Katie Dobski of Mt. Pleasant, MI, daughter Sarah Dobski of Big Rapids, MI, daughter Rebekah Dobski of Ovid, MI, father Robert Dobski Sr. of Delray Beach, FL, sister Margie and Chris Lewis of Port St. Lucie, FL, brother Eddy Dobski of Winter Garden,  FL, father and mother-in-law Chuck and Marilyn Mills of Leesburg, GA, sister-in-law Missy and Mark Perryman of St. Johns, MI, and brother-in-law Randy and Susan Mills of Three Way, TN.  Bob is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Bob was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents.
