Robert Jay "Bob" Ferrall, age 90, of Elsie, MI, entered into his Master's arms Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI, surrounded by the love of his family.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 7, 2022, with Rev. Keith Whipple officiating. Burial will follow with Military honors at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI. Visitation will be held 2-8 P.M. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the funeral home.
Bob was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on March 6, 1932, the son Eugene and Ethel (Hawkins) Ferrall. He graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1950. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. On March 12, 1955, Bob married Wilma Jean VanHorn at the Church of Christ parsonage in Stockbridge, MI by Rev. Lombard. They were blessed with 67 years of marriage.
Bob loved hunting and fishing. He and Wilma made many memories during their motorcycle trips across most of the US and Canada. Together they enjoyed square dancing and spending time at the cabin. Bob's grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of his life and he loved to spend time with them. Bob was a lifelong farmer and also worked for General Motors for 37 years. He and Wilma were members of Eureka Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife Wilma; 3 children: Mona Jean Ferrall of Bannister, MI; Richard J. (Carolyn) Ferrall of Bannister, MI; and Cindy Jo Ferrall of Eaton Rapids, MI. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: William Hansen II, Roger Hansen II, Robert J. Ferrall II, Angela Tracy, Melissa (Will) Harper, Walter (Amy) Ferrall, Tanna LaHaie, and Race (Jena) LaHaie; great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Alexis, Rehema, Isaac, Luke, Aedon, Liam, Allie, Addalynn, Nora, Allie, JoJo, Harley, Nala, Kaylee, and Carson; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Ray (Ruth) Ferrall, and Doris (Harold) Whalen.
