Robert Henry Luft, age 78, of Lakeview, formerly of Owosso, MI died Friday, October 29, 2010 at Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI.
Bob was born in Corunna, Michigan on July 10, 1932, the son of Christoph and Irene (Stull) Luft. He was married to Carol Luft, and she preceded him in death. Bob served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was employed as a truck driver for most of his life. He resided in the Owosso, Mt. Pleasant, and Howard City areas. Bob was a member of the Morley American Legion Post #554, and the VFW Howard City Post #3306. He enjoyed playing Bingo.
He is survived by 4 daughters; Sherry and Ron Hutchins of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Bonnie and David Clark of San Antonio, TX, Patricia and Chuck Jaqua of Harrisville, MI, Cynthia and Patrick McKenney of Weidman, MI, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, brother Chris and Sally Luft of Owosso, MI, and sister Barb and Bob Henry of Owosso, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a grandchild, 4 brothers; Lester, Lee, Bruce, and Bill, and a sister Geri.
