Robert L. Moore age 82 of Elsie, MI died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at Memorial Healthcare Center Owosso, MI
Funeral Services will be held on June 11, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Elsie United Methodist Church Elsie, MI. Rev. Diane Gordon and Mrs. Kathy Leydorf will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2005 from 1-8 P.M.
Robert was born in Elsie, MI on March 8, 1923 the son of George E. and Wilahmena ( Heinze ) Moore. He resided most of his life in the Elsie Area and graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1941. Robert married Doris Oberlin on February 23, 1946 in Elsie, Michigan. Robert served in the US Army during World War II. He was a farmer. He enjoyed antique tractors, cutting wood and farming. He was a member of Bannister United Methodist Church as well as Elsie Lions Club, Crop Improvment Association, Soil Conservation Committee, Farm Bureau, Ovid VFW and the American Legion #502, Elsie, MI.
He is survived by his wife Doris Moore of Elsie, MI, children; Carl & Ellen Moore of Cedar Springs, MI, Calvin & Pat Moore of Cedar Springs, MI, Carter Moore of Elsie, MI, Robert Alan & Phyllis Moore of Bannister, MI, Kathleen & Jeff Roberts of Corunna, MI, Cindy & Radford Ching of Elsie, MI, 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and sister Betty & Bill Tomkins of Beulah, MI. He is predeceased by his parents, and 1 granddaughter Carolyn Moore.
