Robert Elwood Nelson age 83 of Haslett, Michigan died on Friday, December 16, 2005 at Durand Convalescent Center, Durand, Michigan. At his request there will be no services. Robert was born in Copper City, Michigan, the son of Fred & Rose (Waara) Nelson. On January 20, 1942 he married Dorothy Weycker in Houghton, Michigan, she has predeceased him. He resided most of his life in the Detroit area moving to Haslett 6 years ago. Bob was a retired carpenter. Survivors include: 2 sons Thomas & Susan Nelson of Haslett, Michigan, Keith Nelson of Virginia, 12 Grandchildren & 18 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 daughters, Dorothy (Babe) & Judy, 1 son Wayne, 1 granddaughter Deanna, 1 sister, Gladys 4 brothers, Raymond, Fred, Kenneth, Norman.
