Robert Peterson

Robert Wayne Peterson age 87, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at his home.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Robert was born in Ludington, MI on November 21, 1928, the son of Arne and Verina ( Sutter ) Petersen. He graduated from Elk Rapids High School with the class of 1946.  Robert married Luella Hubbel in 1947; she passed away in1990. In 1993 he married Marcy Horton- Birdsall; she survives him.  Robert was a tool and die machinist at Super Tool Co. in Elk Rapids, MI, and he also farmed.  Robert was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, Elks Rapids, Michigan.

He is survived by his wife Marcy Peterson, 2 daughters; Diane and Randy Bellon, of Traverse City, MI, Pam and Don Prouty, of Ithaca, MI, son Wayne Peterson of Venice, FL, 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, his sister Arlene Jahr, brother Thomas and Marsha Petersen, and several nieces and nephews also survive him.  He was predeceased by his parents, first wife, son Daniel, grandson Robert, granddaughter Amber, 2 brothers; Bernhardt and Otto.
