Robert Rand

Robert C. Rand age 81 of St. Johns, Michigan died Monday, January 12, 2004 at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel. Pastor Hugh Banninga will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday 3-5 & 6-8 P.M.
Robert was born on September 9, 1922 in Rahway, New Jersey the son of George & Emma (Peterson) Rand. On May 3, 1954 he married Jeanne Vail in Las Vegas, Nevada, to this union their son Ward Vail Rand was born, Ward died March 31, 2003.
Robert graduated from Rahway High School in New Jersey. He was a retired contractor in the St. Johns area and served in the US Marines during WW2.
Survivors include his wife; Jeanne Rand of St. Johns, Michigan, one sister Eva Thompson of Rahway, New Jersey, one brother Ellsworth Rand of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, one son; Ward Vail Rand.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton Area Care Center Corporation (Hazel I. Findlay), St. Johns, Michigan. The family is being served by the Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
