Robert Eugene Reeves, age 72, of Ithaca, MI died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel Ithaca, MI on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 11:00 AM, Rev. Stephen Young will officiate. Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery North Star, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday December 6, 2008 from 6-8 PM. and on Sunday, December 7, 2008 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel Ithaca, MI.

Robert was born in Ithaca, Michigan on April 19, 1936, the son of Merrill William and LaVera Dorothy (Eichorn) Reeves. He attended Ithaca High School. Robert married Carol J. Moffett on March 2, 1957.
Robert was a lifelong farmer, and he loved to hunt, fish, camp, and in later years enjoyed going to the coffee shop and visiting with friends. He especially loved spending time with all of his family.

He is survived by his wife Carol Reeves of Ithaca, son Roger and Brenda Reeves of Ithaca, MI, daughter Tammy and Steve Strand of Ithaca, MI; 6 grandchildren; Steve and Tracie Strand II, Josh Strand, Kara Strand, Greg Strand, Dillon Reeves, Dakota Reeves; a great granddaughter Sophia Strand, brother Carl and Linda Reeves of Ithaca, MI; sister Vicki and Jack Martin of Ithaca, MI; brother Randy and Cheryl Reeves of Ithaca, MI; and his dog Polly. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Gregory Reeves.
