Robert Allan "Bob" Wallschlager, age 81, of Saginaw, MI, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.
A cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Bob's Life will take place at a later date.
Robert was born in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI on December 29, 1940, the son of Harold A. and Orance M. (Boutin) Wallschlager. Bob graduated from Taylor Center High School with the class of 1959.
Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at the cabin in Grayling. He liked to go to Mackinaw City. He loved to go for drives to just see what was there. He liked to watch the freighters go through Zilwaukee on the Saginaw River. He was a collector of many different things. Bob was a gifted carpenter and had his own business for many years. He was a volunteer fireman for Carrollton Township from 1984-1995.
He is survived by three daughters: Tammy Goulding of Saginaw, MI; Tracy Oszust of Ithaca, MI; and Tara (Paul) Biggers of DeWitt, MI; eleven grandchildren: Paige, Chase, Nicole (Jeffrey), Travis, Paul (Alyssa), James Jr., Jacob, Jack, Triston, Dylan, and Isabelle; seven great-grandchildren: Taylor, Mason, Emma, Scott, Karson, Keegan, and Amelia; one sister Laurel (Robert) Zimnicky, one nephew, two nieces, and many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his children Jacquelyn Altman, two sons: Thomas Wallschlager and Timothy Wallschlager; and two grandchildren: Allen Wallschlager and Lauryn Mentus.
