Roberta Culver

Roberta L. Culver, age 76, of Ithaca, Michigan, passed away Saturday, April 4th, 2009 surrounded by her loving family at University of Michigan Hospitals, Ann Arbor, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI on Thursday, April 9th at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Carol Jean Shepherd and Pastor Richard Washington will officiate. Burial will follow at Entrican Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 8th from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.

Roberta was born in Saginaw, Michigan on March 7, 1933, the daughter of Robert and Bernice (Hamilton) LaLonde. she resided most of her adult life in Gratiot County

Roberta married Carlton Culver on August 26, 1950 in Edmore, he passed away on Feb. 7, 1990. She was a wonderful baker and loved to listen to Blue Grass Gospel music

She is survived by her daughter Elaine and James Winchester, 2 sons Victor Culver of Prescott, and Duaine and Sherry Culver of Ithaca, grandchildren Aubrey and Johnathon Alford, Adam and Cassandra Culver, Eric Culver-Lindall, Joshua and Jessica Larimore, Nicole Stoerkel of San Francisco, 2 great granddaughters Kaitlyn Grace Culver and Airyanna Larimore; twin sister Elberta and Whitey Fowler, 2 sisters Lucille and Ray Rhines of St. Louis, and Carol Jean Shepherd, 3 brothers Jim and Lucille LaLonde, Jerry and Kathy LaLonde and Merle and Maryellen LaLonde, sister-in-law Margaret LaLonde. Roberta is also survived by many nieces & nephews

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carlton, great-granddaughter Lydia Michelle Culver also a brother Don LaLonde.
