Robyn Spencer

Robyn Lee Spencer age 70 of Bancroft, MI, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 10500 W. Grand Blanc Road, Gaines Township, MI at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 with Pastor Louis Canaday officiating.

Robyn was born in Basin, Wyoming on November 7, 1947, the daughter of James Arthur and Moya L. (Hassett) Bennett.  Robyn married Howard Spencer, II on December 6, 1997 in Corunna, MI.  She resided in the Owosso area for the last 20 years.

Robyn worked as a Cytotechnologist for 30 years.  She enjoyed square dancing and knitting.  Robyn was a talented poet.  For the last 12 years, she served on the board of CMH/Health and Wellness in Owosso as Secretary.  She also served on the board for 4 years with MSHN as a Shiawassee County Delegate.  Robyn was an active member of the Recipient Right Board with the Behavioral Unit of Owosso Memorial Hospital.  Daisies were her favorite flower. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church Gaines Township, MI.

Robyn is survived by her husband Howard Spencer, II of Bancroft, MI; 4 children: Rosalee McCarty of Brooklyn, NY; Jennifer and Clarence Ille of Norman; OK, Elizabeth Michelle and Douglas Birkhimer Sr. of Noble, OK; Howard and Julian Spencer, III of San Diego, CA; 5 grandchildren Erik, Jacob, Spencer, Douglas, Jr. and Logan; and sister Jeanie Bennett of Davis, CA.   Robyn was preceded in death by her parents.
