Rodney O'Dell

Rodney Kurt "Rod" O'Dell, age 45, of Ashley, Michigan, died Monday, July 30, 2012 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel, Ithaca, MI on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Cora Grace Goldman officiating. Burial will take place at the Ellington Cemetery Cass City, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.

Rod was born in Alma, Michigan on April 10, 1967, the son of Lester M. and Joan B. (Fuester) O'Dell. He was a carpenter and did a lot of work in the area. Rod loved animals especially his dogs, Jenna & Ode. He enjoyed having company come over. He resided in the Ashley and Ithaca area most of his life.

He is survived by parents Lester and Joan O'Dell of Ashley, MI, 1 sister Peggy and Matthew Martin of Kalamazoo, MI, 2 brothers; Brad O'Dell of St. Johns, MI, Brian and Annette O'Dell of Ashley, MI, nieces; Jenna O'Dell, Brooke O'Dell, Krystin and Greg Sankey, nephews; Rick Lutge, Eric Lutge, Tyler O'Dell, Brent Lutge, Mitch Lutge, and Brig O'Dell. He is also survived by great nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents, and 2 brothers; Ricky James & Les Jr.
