Rodney Lee Swanchara, age 48, of Elsie, MI passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at his home.
A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Ralph Parkin officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Rodney was born in St. Johns, Michigan on December 9, 1966, the son of Edward and Margaret (Ryan) Swanchara. Rodney was an avid hunter. He loved spending time with his family and his dogs Sampson and Chauncy. He resided most of his life in the Elsie and Bannister areas.
He is survived by his mother Margaret Swanchara, siblings; Cathy Wang, Eddie Swanchara, Brenda and Dwayne Hunt, Janice Seyrek, Andrew Swanchara, and special friend Shari Weber. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad, brother in law Randy Wang, and niece Randi Wang.
