Roger Atchley

Roger Dale Atchley Sr., age 48, of St. Louis, MI died unexpectedly Sunday, September 19, 2010 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Rick Rogers will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

Roger was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas on October 31, 1961, the son of Lora (Ames) Brooks. He loved fishing with his family. He had worked at Bear Truss in St. Louis for several years, B&W co-op in Breckenridge, and worked several maintenance and lawn care jobs in town. He attended Wesleyan Holiness Church in St. Louis.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Moon-Atchley of St. Louis, MI, 6 children; Roger Atchley Jr. of St. Louis, MI, Paul Atchley of Mason, MI, Kimberly Gibbins of St. Louis, MI, Amber Gibbins of St. Louis, MI, Timmy Byers Jr. of St. Louis, MI, Coltyn Moon of St. Louis, MI, 2 grandchildren; Mason Hyatt, and Emma Atchley, mother Lora Brooks of St. Louis, MI, and brother William Atchley II of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and mother in law Alice Wood. He will be loved and forever missed.
