Roger Fetters

Roger G. Fetters, age 78, of St. Louis, MI died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Coe Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Lane Hassloch, Minister, Coe Church of Christ officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI.

Roger was born in Wheeler Township, Michigan on May 17, 1934, the son of Henry W. and Doris O. (Wood) Fetters. Roger married Margaret A. Peak on April 5, 1957. He retired from Lobdell-Emery Manufacturing in 1994 after 43 years of service. Roger was also a lifelong farmer. He coached Little League baseball for over 20 years. Roger loved his horses and cutting wood. He was a great story teller. He was a member of Coe Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret Fetters, son Chris and Suzie Fetters, daughter Kathy Fetters and Mike Hoffman, son Jeff Fetters, all of of St. Louis, MI, son Brian and Susan Fetters of Palo Verdos, CA, 9 grandchildren; Ben, Ashley & Christopher Monroe, Kyle Fetters, Logan, Kaitlyn & Brandon Fetters, Jason (Anna) Onstott and Josh (Megan) Onstott, 5 great grandchildren; Arys, Justice, Jager, Dylan & Jameson Onstott and one on the way and special family friend Sharon Most. He was preceded in death by his parents.
