Roger Eldon Pease, born to Harold and Martha (Weir) Pease on July 13, 1941 in Lansing, MI passed away peacefully in his home on January 28, 2012 surrounded by his family after battling liver cancer.
He graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School in St. Johns, MI in 1960.
He lived in Huachuca City, AZ for 13 years after moving from St. Johns, MI.
Roger retired from General Motors, Lansing, MI after 38 years of dedicated service. He was most recently employed for 13 years by Huachuca City Elementary Cafeteria and was affectionately known as "The Lunch Lady". Roger was also an active member with The Huachuca City Lions Club where he held the offices of president and vice president. The Huachuca City Lions Club has established an annual memorial scholarship in his memory. He participated in many community events and was known for his spectacular cooking. He was also a past member with the Alma, MI Elks Lodge for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sharon (Argersinger-Johnson) Pease, daughter Shantelle Pease of Huachuca City, AZ, his daughters from a previous marriage; Rogina (Jeff) Davis of Tucson, AZ, Shellie (Jeff) Cerecke of Sierra Vista, JoellynnPease of Tucson, AZ, Bridgette (Adam) Ritchey of Sierra Vista, AZ and Quintina Gulledge of Tucson, AZ, granddaughters; Danisha Green, Brianna Sullivan and Brooke Lynn Gulledge of Tucson, AZ, and Aniah Kaye Pease-Kessler of Huachuca City, AZ. One great grandson Camryn Green of Tucson, AZ, brothers: Harold (Sue) Pease of Ovid, MI, and his twin Richard (Diane) Pease of DeWitt, MI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, and his beloved dogs; Luther and Lucy Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Martha Pease of St. Johns, MI, son Michael Pease, daughter Mariah Pease and grandson Ky Ritchey, all taken too early in life.
Roger's Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI with Pastor Audie Clairmont officiating. Please join us to celebrate his life as we say goodbye to a special man loved by so many. There will be a luncheon following the services at the Church of the Living Word, Ovid, MI.
