Rolland E. Price Sr., age 70, of Lansing, MI passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Capitol City Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Erwin Robertson will officiate. Burial will take place at North Park Cemetery in Luther, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday June 8, 2009 from 2-8 PM with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Johns Chapel, St. Johns, MI.

Rolland was born in Eldon, Iowa on October 15, 1938. He grew up in Iowa and resided most of his life in Lansing. Rolland served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from General Motors moving up from line worker to the maintenance phase of Crane Operator. Rolland was an avid golfer who loved camping, fishing and hunting. He spent a lot of time keeping his vehicles meticulously detailed. Rolland was a member of Capitol City Baptist Church of Lansing, MI.

He is survived by 3 sons; Jesse and Sandra Cupples of Lansing, MI, Rolland and Christal Price, Jr. of Gillette, WY, Tom and Darlene Price of Hooks, TX, their mother Larine Crawford of Las Vegas, NV, 3 step daughters; Tina and Chris Hause, Marcy Shoemaker, Kelly Martin, their mother; Shirley Price of Lansing, MI, 2 sisters; Linda Carpenter of Lansing, MI, Beverly and Meryl Bates of Luther, MI. Rolland is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild also many foster children and day care children over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Price, mother & step father Juanita & Homer Taylor.
