Ronald Lee Burl, age 63, of Corunna, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008, after a short illness with cancer at Memorial Healthcare.

A memorial service will be held at the First Free Methodist Church, 1249 N. Chipman Street, Owosso, on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Kincaid officiating. Cremation has taken place.

Ron was born April 1, 1944, in St. Johns, Michigan, the son of Raymond and Frances (Mort) Burl. On August 28, 1965, he married Margaret A. Fisher, in Owosso.

He worked for Fisher Redi-Mix and previously worked at Mid-West Abrasives. Ronald was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved to work out in his pole barn, feed the birds, garden, and watch NASCAR.

He leaves his wife of 42 years, Margaret, son, Steven & Lynette Burl of Corunna, daughters, Lisa Burl (Frary) of Owosso and Heather Burl at home & her fiancée, Matthew Fredrick of Corunna; four grandchildren, Shonna & Zachary Frary and Ryan & Kevin Burl; brothers, Gary & Sue Burl of Shepherd, David & Evelyn Burl of Corunna, Phillip & Marie Burl of Owosso, and Kent & Bonnie Burl of Flushing. Also, his father and mother-in-law, Leo and Lois Fisher; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy & Jim Sparks and Lori & Brian Porter and several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
