Ronald Raysby

Ronald Fred Raysby, 74, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

In following Ron's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Instead, Ron requested that everyone remember "the good times and if you shed a tear, it's of happiness because I'm home now."

Ron was born in Melrose Park, IL on April 28, 1945, the son of Anton Elmer and Bernice M. (Busse) Raysby. On February 13, 2004, Ronald married Donna L. Hungerford in Ithaca, MI.

Ron was a truck driver and a factory worker.  His favorite job was working American Bank Note in Chicago, IL. Ron enjoyed fishing, painting and restoring old cars. His favorite times were playing with his grandchildren and taking them for rides in the trailer behind the riding lawn mower. Ron loved playing his guitar to sing and praise the Lord. Ron was always "happy, wonderful, terrific, fantastic, and super. Besides that I'm doing great and I'll be the same way tomorrow. Amen. Hallelujah. Keep up the good work and thanks for not asking!"

Ron is survived by his children: Rich (Zabrina) Thompson, Tina (Paul) Marble, Patricia (Jim) Zirk, Tamara (Jamie) Fugle, and Daniel (Rebecca) Raysby; and stepdaughter Mary Lou (Brian) Hungerford. He is also survived by many grandchildren and lots of great grandchildren and 2 sisters: Phyllis and Carol.  Ron was preceded in death by "all the girls I've loved before" including his wife Donna Hungerford Raysby, his parents, brother Tony Raysby, brother-in-law Art "Best-Friend" Kellogg, and step-son Rick Hungerford.
