Ronda Joy Baker, age 53, of Morganton, North Carolina formerly of Niagara Falls, NY died Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Charlotte North Carolina.
Funeral Services will be held at Riverdale Cemetery Chapel, Lewiston, New York on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be at the chapel from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Ronda was born in Niagara Falls, New York on April 20, 1962, the daughter of James Paul and Geraldine (Durham) Baker. She graduated from LaSalle Senior High School, Niagara Falls, NY, She received her CNA and became a Nurses Aid and worked at Frye Hospital in North Carolina for 8 years. Ronda enjoyed watching baseball, hockey and football. She would like to attend the Crawdads Minor league baseball game in Hickory North Carolina, with her family and especially her nieces and nephews. Ronda was a quite person with a gentle soul and a big heart and will missed by many people.
She is survived by her mother Geraldine "Skookie" Baker, 2 sisters; Terri and Mike Gilkerson, Kristine and Kenneth Baker-Chester, 2 brothers; Ed and Dora Baker, Rick Baker, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and a very special friend Dennis Powell. She was predeceased by her father, James Baker in 2014.
