Ronda Marie Gorney

     Ronda Marie Gorney, age 55 passed away the evening of January 5th, 2023, at the University of Michigan Hospital, in Ann Arbor, MI.

     Ronda was born in Saginaw, MI on May 5th, 1967. She is the daughter of Ron & Jean Gorney of Elwell, MI. She graduated from Alma High School. Ronda worked in the office of Pine Avenue Elementary School for many years.

     She is survived by her husband Chad; children: Sloan, Megan and Myra; parents Ron Gorney and Rebecca Burhans.  Ronda was preceded in death by her mother Jean and her brother James.

     In the summer of 2004, Ronda met her future husband Chad Salchert. She was a loving mother to Sloan, Megan, and Myra Salchert. They all lived together in Mt. Pleasant, MI.  Shortly after Ronda fell in love with the lake life, visiting their cottage at Higgins Lake through the summers.  She was a loving friend to many people in the community. She enjoyed making crafts with her crafting machine, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

     A Celebration of Ronda's Life will be held at a later date.
