Rosa Thrush

Rosa Lena "Rosalie" Thrush age 73 of St. Louis, Michigan was surrounded by her children when she went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 24, 2006 at Laurels of Fulton Perrinton, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Sam Dunbar will officiate with burial at Bailey Cemetery Alma, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Rosa was born in Wheeler, Michigan on March 14, 1933 the daughter of Harry and Rosa ( Velia ) Smith. She resided most of her life in St. Louis and Alma Area. Rosa married Clair Thrush on March 17, 1962 in St. Louis, MI. He died December 7, 1995. She was a homemaker and a Nurses Aide for several area nursing homes. She enjoyed crocheting, caring for animals, playing piano, baking, and canning. She also enjoyed bird watching, and she did laundry and ironing for several people. In the past Rosa attended the First Church of God in St. Louis.

She is survived by her children; Sharon & Ron Green of Midland, Michigan, Linda & Franki Slovak of Dallas, TX, Carol & Randy Hawkins of St. Louis, MI, Kathleen & Richard Hopkins of Perrinton, MI, Donald & Terri Killey of Freeland, MI, William & Peggy Wager of Texas, brothers; Ervin & Mary Smith of Carson City, MI, Harry Smith Jr. of St. Louis, MI, 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, 6 sisters, 5 brothers, and 2 sons Bobby Lee Wager and Lester C. Thrush.

Memorials may be made to Gratiot Area Hospice, Laurels of Fulton or Church of God, St. Louis, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
