Rosalie Ann "Rosie" Blair, age 84, of Perrinton, MI, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing, MI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, Perrinton, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, with Rev. Fr. Edwin Dwyer presiding. Burial will take place at Fulton Center Cemetery, Perrinton, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Rosalie was born in Newark Township, Michigan on May 12, 1940, the daughter of Louis and Mary (Johnson) Kupres. Rosie graduated from Fulton High School with the class of 1958. She married Burtis J. "Burt" Blair, on June 27, 1959, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Ithaca, Michigan. They were blessed with fifty-five years of marriage, prior to his passing on April 20, 2015.
Rosie and Burt owned and operated Rosie's Kettle Corn. They traveled throughout the state to many craft shows and festivals; after Burt's passing she carried on with the help of Louis & Larry. She liked polka music, NASCAR, trips to the casino and in her younger years, bowling. Rosie felt proud and excited to have taken her first airplane ride in Chesaning in July. Rosie loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed attending their sporting and school activities. She was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, life member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Carson City and was the president of the North Central Arts Council in Houghton Lake.
She is survived by daughters: Cinda and John Karlik, Rosemary and Bryan Karlik, six sons: Louis Blair, Larry Blair, Terry and Sheryl Blair, Gary and Tammy Blair, Burt and Kendra Blair, Kurt and Trinity Blair, thirteen grandchildren: Keshia (Steven) Hatfield, Kiley (Dillon) Trefil, Laura Karlik, Mackenzy (Tessa) Blair, Mackauly (Emily) Blair, Dustin (Shelby) Karlik, Nathan Karlik, Caleb (Brittany) Fifelski, Nicholas Karlik, Cole (Megan) Blair, McKayla Blair, Jillian Blair, Dezmond Blair, and Kyle (Jenna) LaMadline; and great-grandchildren: Anderson, Hayleigh, Tavin, Allie, Tenley, Clayton, Callum, Hadley, Henry, Landen, Dallas, Oaklynn, Kenzley, Sawyer, and Layne. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Burt, and great-grandson Bentley.
