Rose was born in Shepherd, Michigan on January 26, 1933, the daughter of August and Josephine (Dobroski) Michalovic. She married Anthony John "Tony" Chapko on November 6, 1954 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Shepherd, Michigan. They were blessed with 59 years of marriage; prior to his passing on October 11, 2014.
Rose was a very devoted, loving mother and grandmother. Anyone that knew her knew her family and faith meant everything to her. She was a beautiful soul inside and out. She was always so caring, compassionate and was truly unique and one of a kind. She never wanted anything for herself but wanted and gave the world to everyone around her. Cooking was her passion and she showed her love through her cooking. She was always ready to cook for you even if she wasn't expecting you "just in case someone would stop by". When she asked who her favorite child was, she always said, "You all are my favorite." She was a beautiful gift from God and we were very blessed. To us, everyday was Mothers Day, she will be truly missed. Rose was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan.
She is survived by her children: Donna and Dale Adolph of Ithaca, MI; Kenneth and Bernice Chapko of North Star, MI; Laurence and Janis Chapko of Owosso, MI; Ronald and Amy Chapko of DeWitt, MI; Patrick Chapko of Ashley, MI; Peter and Angela Chapko of Perry, MI; Kathleen and Thomas Speer of Elsie, MI; Martin and Kelly Chapko of St. Johns, MI. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and her daughter in law, Sheila Chapko. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tony, 3 children: Edward, Daniel, and Rosanne Chapko,
