Rose Keck

Rose Marie Keck, age 85, of Ashley, Michigan passed away Monday, May 4, 2009 at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel, Elsie, MI on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Joe Pendleton will officiate. Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.

Rose was born in Hamilton Township, Michigan on July 3, 1923, the daughter of John and Fannie (Flasitz) Bacigal. Rose graduated from Ashley High School with the class of 1941. Rose married Donald Keck on January 1, 1942 in Lansing, Michigan. Donald passed away in 2005. Rose was an Avon representative for over forty years. She loved to play bingo, card games, and making pies once a week. She resided most of her life in the Ashley area. Rose was a member of the Wednesday Afternoon Club.

She is survived by three daughters; Joan Derby of Ithaca, MI, Janet and Bob Garcia of Ashley, MI, Joyce and Jim Skaryd of Perrinton, MI, one son Richard and Pam Keck of St. Johns, MI, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Donald, one son Terry Lynn Keck, five brothers and four sisters.
