Rose Vallance

Rose E. Vallance, age 79, of St. Louis, MI died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Johns Chapel St. Johns, MI on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Russ McCoy officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 2-8 with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 at the funeral home.

Rose was born in Delhi Township, Michigan on May 12, 1932, the daughter of Earl Frederick and Florence (Bale) Wheeler. Rose married Norval H. "Pete" Vallance on June 22, 1950 in Angola, Indiana. Rose enjoyed going up north, being outdoors and fishing. Her family and friends were very important to her.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Norval "Pete" Vallance of St. Louis, MI, daughter Sherry and Ron Epps of St. Johns, MI, daughter Lola and Quent Scannell of Highland Township, MI, son Gary and Amy Vallance of St. Johns, MI, daughter JoAnn and Lee Esch of Oakman, Alabama, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, sister Ruth and Doug Wiggins of Florida, and sister-in-law Joyce and Chuck Smith of Grand Rapids, MI. In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by sister Barbara Wall.
