Roy Willoughby

Roy Gregory Willoughby, age 90, of Chesaning, Michigan died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in Saginaw, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Elsie United Methodist Church, Elsie, Michigan on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:00 A.M., with Dr. Donald Ferris-McCann officiating. Burial will take place at Cherry Grove Cemetery Clare, Michigan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI.

Roy was born in Chapin Township, Michigan on February 6, 1923, the son of Oscar Edward and Phoebe Margaret (Stevens) Willoughby. He graduated from the Bonner School. On May 15, 1948 Roy married Ruth M. Smith; she died on October 22, 2007.

Roy worked for Universal Electric in Owosso, Michigan as a tool grinder and tool engineer. He was also a photographer for over 45 years. Roy resided most of his life in the Chesaning area and was a member of Elsie United Methodist Church, Elsie, Michigan. His church family was very important to him.

He is survived by a sister, brother and many friends. Roy was predeceased by his parents, wife and 2 brothers.
