Rt. Rev. Jack William Winnie, age 77, of St. Louis, MI passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Richard MacLane will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Jack was born in Pleasant Valley, Michigan on October 16, 1933, the son of Amos and Virginia (Moore) Winnie. He was a graduate of Alma High School. Jack married Harriett Davidson on June 24, 1955 in Sheridan, MI. Jack served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He retired in 1994 from Lobdell/Oxford Automotive. Jack loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his dogs. He was a member of the National Chaplains Association, and a member of Parkside Assembly of God in St. Louis, MI.

He is survived by his wife Harriett Winnie of St. Louis, MI, daughter Rose and Joe Cantu of Owosso, MI, son Craig and Nora Winnie of St. Louis, MI, daughter Laurie Bizzoco of Manorville, NY, son Scott and Kimberly Winnie of St. Louis, MI, son Todd and Susan Winnie of St. Louis, MI, special daughter Traci Grube of Alma, MI, daughter in law Karrie Winnie of St. Louis, MI, 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, a brother Robert Winnie of Riverdale, MI, and a sister Ione Jolly of Corning, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Joe Winnie, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
